Charlotte Simpson Ceremonies
If you want a personal wedding ceremony that will tell your own unique love story and make your guests – and each other - laugh and cry, you need a celebrant.
That’s me! Hello! I’m Charlotte. The couples who ask me to design their wedding ceremonies are often creative, quirky and easy-going. If you choose me as your celebrant, the two of you will be the only ones making the rules. We'll have fun as we plan and prepare your ceremony, and even more fun on your wedding day.
Whether you want your ceremony to be fun and entertaining or intensely emotional and spiritual; together we can create just the mood and style you want. Your celebrant ceremony will set the tone for your whole wedding day and have your guests talking about it for days – so many of my couples and their families tell me their ceremony was the highlight of their big day.
Afterwards, you'll have lifelong memories of perfect moments that expressed what you mean to each other. What's more, the fact that you’ve talked about your understanding of marriage and articulated your hopes for your future together will be a huge support to you in the years to come.
Business values: Excellence | Diversity | Kindness | Creativity | Honesty
Celebrants play an important role in our culture; we hold up people's relationships to be seen and celebrated in their families and communities. I take this responsibility seriously and I'm committed to providing a fully inclusive service that promotes equality, responsibility and compassion.
I'm a founder-member of LGBTQ Equality Weddings - an educational and campaigning organisation working to make the wedding industry more inclusive. I also take accessibility seriously; I work with families to make sure everyone present at their wedding is able to participate in their ceremony. I do so by finding ways to include speakers of other languages, children and vulnerable or disabled guests.
I use my business to support my local community, I've led storytelling workshops in schools and I don't charge for funeral ceremonies for anyone under 18. I also donate a third of my takings over the Christmas period to Help Refugees, a charity close to my heart.
Being Eco - As a service-provider, I use very little in the way of materials. I work from home so I don't have a daily commute. Although I do need to drive to wedding venues and client meetings, I keep journeys to a minimum and I've recently invested in the smallest, lightest, most fuel efficient car I could afford! I don't participate in ceremony elements exploiting live animals (such as butterfly or dove releases) or rituals that harm the environment (such as balloon releases or Chinese lanterns).
